This anime deserves way more hype. It's not your average bait anime. They put a lot of thought into military strategy, politics, military formations, messaging systems, living styles, a good plot, heroic role and their super powered addition has a perfect vibe. Not overkill or predictable. They even keep track of scars and wounds in battle for future episodes. Vitals play a part like they're supposed to. The masses need to give it a shot. I'll admit, if you're not paying attention in the earlier seasons you can drift off or bore. It isn't for short attention spans.

Don't fret. Kingdom is very popular in japan which is where it matters the most since that's how the mangaka and the studio gets paid.

The manga is far more superior unfortunately that’s why the anime doesn’t have a great fan base. That’s my opinion anyway.

If the first two seasons had the animation (at least) that it has now, I think the fan base would be much bigger.

Yeah and if they would have stayed true to the gore of the manga also the battles don’t hit the same because they are no where near as brutal IMO

Yeah I'd definetely prefer to see that as well, that said it's not nearly as sanitized, anymore, as the first two seasons were. I don't even remember seeing blood in those lol

It's only the first episode of season one (maybe 2 or 3 more episodes), which have a "bad" animation. After that, it gets better. And season 3 and 4, they have a decent animation. And honestly I don't get bored at all re-watching all of the Kingdom seasons, anytime. Just like Kuroko's Basketball.

The current animation isn't amazing or anything but it is a huge step up from the animation of the first 2 seasons thanks to the fact that they stopped using so much CGI and have Studio Signpost working with Pierrot.
